CBS is axing Stephen Colbert’s show. He told his audience at a taping on Thursday that the network will end The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in May 2026. The announcement came two days after Colbert spoke out against Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS, over settling a lawsuit with US President Donald Trump.

A man who captured the world’s attention with a record-breaking jump from the stratosphere in 2012 has died in a tragic accident. Austrian base jumper and skydiver Felix Baumgartner was killed while paragliding in Italy on Thursday. He reportedly lost control of his paraglider and crashed into a hotel swimming pool. Baumgartner was 56 years old.

A 17-year-old boy learning to drive with his mother was hospitalized following a road rage incident in Calgary on Tuesday night. Police say the mother was teaching her son how to park when a pickup pulled up aggressively, drove around the victims’ vehicle, did a U-turn and parked. Two men then exited the truck and assaulted the boy while he tried to protect his mother.

US President Donald Trump is dealing with a vein condition common in older adults that causes blood to pool in his veins. He was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency following medical checkup, prompted by “mild swelling” in the president’s lower legs. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed the diagnosis on Thursday.

Rashee Rice was finally sentenced on Thursday in connection to his involvement in a high-speed crash that left multiple people injured on a Dallas highway last year. As part of a plea agreement, the Kansas City Chiefs receiver was sentenced to five years of deferred probation and 30 days in jail, which the 25-year-old can serve at his own leisure.
