Five things you need to know

1. Audi CEO arrested over diesel emissions scandal

2. Thomas Markle regrets not walking Meghan down the aisle

Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas, made headlines in the lead up to last month’s royal wedding for not travelling to England to walk the bride down the aisle. Now, in an interview with Good Morning Britain, the senior Markle said that he regrets the decision. “The unfortunate thing for me now is I’m a footnote in one of the greatest moments in history, rather than a father walking her down the aisle and that upsets me somewhat.”

3. Croatian striker sent home from World Cup

Nikola Kalinic, a Croatian striker who plays for AC Milan, has been sent home from the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It’s being reported that he refused to come off the bench as a substitute during the team’s first match against Nigeria. Kalinic blames a back injury, but the team wasn’t buying it and he’s now on his way home.

4. Beyoncé and JAY-Z drop a surprise album and it’s not just on Tidal

Celebrity power couple Beyoncé and JAY-Z dropped a surprise album on Saturday, which appeared to be a Tidal exclusive release like most of their work. However, Spotify and Apple Music users have now discovered that the album is on those streaming services as well. It’s not under either artists’ name, but it’s listed under ‘The Carters’ instead.

5. A baby born on a Paris train gets free rides until he’s 25

Commuters in Paris were delayed this morning after a woman gave birth to a baby boy on the train. He’ll get free train rides until he turns 25, according to a spokesperson for the transit authority. Not a bad deal!
