The NDP has said it's "ludicrous" to attack its candidate in the upcoming Montreal by-election for using a Palestinian flag on an election flyer. The party said Craig Sauvé, who has been criticized by the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, frequently poses with both the Canadian and Quebec flags as well.

Amazon has refused to stop selling taxi signs after an association representing professional drivers told the firm they are being used in scams. The scams usually involve the criminal posing as a taxi driver, picking up a passenger and then stealing either their credit card or credit card details.
To curb a widespread debit card scam, the Canadian Taxi Association has asked Amazon to stop selling generic taxi signs.

Australian police have launched an international manhunt to find a man suspected of seriously burning a nine-month-old baby with boiling coffee. The incident occurred in Brisbane but the man, a 33-year-old, fled the country six days later.
Police have identified the man they believe is responsible for pouring hot coffee on a 9-month-old baby in Brisbane last month as a foreign nation, and confirmed he has since left the country.
