Missing snowmobiler found dead near Revelstoke

The search for a missing snowmobiler has come to a tragic end.

Around 10 am on Thursday, around 17 hours after he was reported missing, the man was found dead by search and rescue crews.

Revelstoke, Salmon Arm and Golden search and rescue crews all joined in on the hunt, which was centred around Mount MacPherson near Revelstoke.

The BC Coroners Service is investigating the circumstances around the man’s sudden death, but no further information is being released.

The man’s name will not be released by police.
