BC reports 368 new cases of COVID-19 and 5 deaths

British Columbia is reporting 368 new cases of COVID-19, this brings the total number of active cases in the province to 3,020.

There have been 219,180 total cases of COVID-19 reported in the province since the pandemic began, from those 213,694 people who tested positive from the virus have recovered.

Of the new/active cases this is where they are coming from in each region:

  • Interior Health: 101 new cases (578 active)
  • Fraser Health: 90 new cases (1,003 active)
  • Island Health: 88 new cases (602 active)
  • Vancouver Coastal Health: 48 new cases (485 active)
  • Northern Health: 40 new cases (351 active)
  • One new case of a person who resides outside of Canada (one active)

There are currently 284 people in hospital with 97 of those individuals in intensive care.

In the past 24 hours, five new deaths have been reported bringing the provincial pandemic death toll to 2,345.

From the new deaths, three were reported in Fraser Health and one in Northern Health.


There are currently five active COVID-19 outbreaks at healthcare facilities across the province.

  • Fraser Heath: George Derby Centre, Ridge Meadows Hospital
  • Northern Health: Peace Villa, Laurier Manor
  • Vancouver Coastal Health: St. Paul's Hospital

In the past week (Nov. 20-30) this is how cases broke down from unvaccinated to vaccinated:

  • Not vaccinated: 1,332 (54%)
  • Partially vaccinated: 96 (3.9%)
  • Fully vaccinated: 1,040 (42.1%)

Over the past two weeks (Nov. 17-30) this is how cases hospitalized broke down from unvaccinated to vaccinated:

  • Not vaccinated: 160 (64.5%)
  • Partially vaccinated: 9 (3.6%)
  • Fully vaccinated: 79 (31.9%)

Since December 2020, the province has administered 8,736,385 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Of the eligible people five and older in BC, 85% (4,234,504) have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 81.8% (4,076,233) have received their second dose.

From the eligible people 12 and older in BC, 91.2% (4,227,853) have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, 87.9% (4,076,211) received their second dose and 10% (452,593) have received a third dose.

Also, 91.6% (3,962,145) of all eligible adults in BC have received their first dose, 88.5% (3,826,335) received their second dose and 10% (451,943) have received a third dose.
