Aurora will work with the fight league’s athletes in clinical studies involving pain management, inflammation, injury, exercise recovery, and mental well-being.

Research will be conducted at the 30,000-sq-ft UFC’s Performance Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Since the day we opened the Performance Institute, our primary goal was to offer UFC athletes the best possible training, nutrition, and recovery services,” said UFC President Dana White in a press release.

“This partnership with Aurora is an extension of that goal, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with Aurora to find new ways to improve the health and safety of athletes who compete in UFC,” White said.

The research will also be led by Dr. Jason Dyck, a professor at the University of Alberta.

On Tuesday, Aurora shares on the TSX declined slightly by 0.77% to $11.62.
