There’s no day like a snow day, and although the Okanagan is experiencing less than optimal amounts of snow, a national comedy tour might help resurface your love for winter.
The Snowed in Comedy Tour is in the middle of its third week of shows in Canada, recently hitting ski and snowboarding hotspots like Revelstoke and Whistler, and the Okanagan valley is nearing its turn on the docket.
Numerous comedians will be on the roadie landing in 65 cities across the Great White North, but resident funny-folks Debra DiGiovanni, Paul Myrehaug, Dan Quinn, Erica Sigurdson and Pete Zedlacher will take their turns on stage in the Okanagan cities Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton in the coming weeks.
Decorated comedian Dan Quinn wouldn’t miss out on the some of the best ski opportunities in Canada, especially considering the entire tour began out of his want for the slopes.
The series began when Dan Quinn needed an excuse to go snowboarding with his buddies, but was concerned about losing his regular source of income over the vacation; as a result the Snowed In Comedy Tour was born.
The homegrown tour is now in its eleventh year, claiming 2018 as its best year yet with numerous standing ovations for their performers. Since the tour began 11 years ago, it has had over $1 million in ticket sales.
