Bloom Tulip Festival opens this week.
While there were no buds to be found on the field last week, Bloom Flower Festivals announced this morning that buds are finally starting to bloom.
Opening weekend will still be considered low bloom, which is when 20-40% of the field is in bloom, but there will be plenty of flowers for attendees to enjoy, and the u-pick field is ready for visitors.
There will be a variety of events this weekend, including live music by Steve Smith, Farmstrong Friday and Horse Drawn Okanagan, and the first 100 visitors on May 4 will receive five free u-pick stems.
Over 500,000 bulbs were planted in the four-acre field in Armstrong, and attendees will be able to stroll through, take photos, pick flowers and enjoy the sights and sounds of this magical spring festival.
This weekend, visitors will be able to enter the park between 10 am and 2 pm, and the festival will close at 3:30 pm.
The festival runs May 4-28, and tickets can be purchased here.
