The Haunting of Falkland to ramp up Halloween in the BC Interior

It’s almost spooky season and Halloween lovers are amped to be taking part in another year of the Haunting of Falkland next month.

Now in its third year, Thunder Boyz Productions Inc. (TBPI) in conjunction with the Falkland and District Community Association and Falkland Historical Society is excited to welcome back guests for another season of scares,

The Haunting of Falkland is an annual festival that runs solely on donations that go towards supporting various non-profit organizations in Falkland and beyond.

Returning bigger and better is the Haunted Museum, with themes like a Nightmare Before Christmas walkthrough, a witch’s den, a haunted barn, Halloween Alley, twisted carnival games, a ghost train and much more.

The marquee event, the Haunted Hall, also features eight different theme rooms adorned with decorations, animatronics, jump scares and special FX.

“It is amazing to see the growth of this event from its conception. The activities are increasing, the attendance is growing drastically and now we are providing funding to more than just Falkland area non-profits,” said Dean Trumbley, owner of Thunder Boyz Productions Inc.

“The haunted hall is taking the jump to a high-level, this year we are featuring stage production quality sets, sound system and electrical. The event is now an all-day affair for families, we have even added a kid-friendly no scare time period. The haunted alley features vendors from all over with a scary theme added”.

During the day, smaller kids can still enjoy the sets and props with all the lights on and no scare walkthroughs of the Haunted Hall and museum grounds on Saturdays from 12 pm - 3 pm.

The Haunting of Falkland will also be conducting a Halloween house decorating contest for residents in Falkland, and a map will be provided for guests to look around at the wild decorations.

Finally, every weekend in October the hosts of True North Paranormal, a Canadian TV show will be conducting ghost hunting adventures in three historic buildings at the Falkland Museum grounds and guests can even join in on the spooky hunting or spend a night in a haunted location.

Entry is by donation, and Trumbley promises no one will be turned away. You can check it out for two weekends only this October on 21- 22 and 28-29.
