Most of the Southern Interior is on track to elect Conservative MPs in the upcoming federal election, according to a recent projection.
The 338Canada website predicts that every seat in the region is leaning blue except for South Okanagan-West Kootenay, where the NDP is the favourite by a tiny fraction.
As of Oct. 14, when the site was last updated, the Tories are predicted to have a 50.4% chance of winning the most seats in Canada and the Liberals a 49% chance.
In terms of winning a majority, the Liberals are ahead in projections with a 13.7% chance.
The Conservatives have a just under 10% chance, according to the website.
For the popular vote, the two biggest parties are almost tied: the Liberals are given a 31.3% chance and the Tories 32.5%.
The 338Canada project is a statistical model of electoral projections based on polls, history and demography created by physics professor and political analyst PJ Fournier.
