Without a doubt, one of the best parts of the holidays has to be hearty meals. However, being a vegetarian or vegan this time of year can be particularly tricky, I mean most side dishes tend to be meat-free, however, we can’t live off of mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts alone.
We have some good news for our plant-based readership. Two local and cruelty-free restaurants will have your back this holiday season by hosting their own vegged-up version of a Christmas feast! The best part? You don’t even have to cook!
The newly opened, vegan hot spot will host a four-course Christmas feast equipped with a fancy vegan charcuterie starter.
Celebrating the bountiful harvests of the Okanagan, the evening's menu has a real highlight on festive veggies. From a crisp harvest salad to mashed sweet potatoes and a mouth-watering lentil pie, your heart and stomach will be full before you even get to the variety of sweet treats being offered as dessert!
For obvious reasons the first event is already sold out, but lucky for you — they are hosting a second evening on Sunday, Dec. 16. Tickets are $65 and available online!
The family-owned, completely vegan cafe is inviting one and all to load up on a delicious holiday feast fit for the hungriest patrons!
The four-course meal will include a stuffed mushroom starter, soup or salad, and a hefty plate loaded with all the holiday classics and a big mountain of tofurkey, followed by a sweet treat.
The Holiday Feast will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 18, and has two separate seatings for extra convenience at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the restaurant for $49.99 with limited spots available.
