Kamloops Search and Rescue Looking for Barefoot Man

Update: The man has since been found.

The Kamloops Search and Rescue and the Nicola Valley Search and Rescue are looking for a man who went missing from a campsite at Plateau Lake around 7 p.m. Saturday night.

The 62-year-old man left the campsite barefoot and has not been seen since.

“There’s lots of trails, there’s lots of forestry roads. It is partially forested. It is going to be hard searching,” said Search Manager Alan Hobler.

Kamloops Search and Rescue are hoping to get the message out to the public to keep an eye out for a barefoot man walking in that area.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call the RCMP.
