Kamloops will be represented in Ottawa this week during the Startup Canada Day on the Hill event.
Lincoln Smith, executive director at Kamloops Innovation, will be in Ottawa on May 5 meeting with Members of Parliament, and parliamentary committees to talk about Canada’s Innovation Agenda.
“This is a great opportunity to put Kamloops on the map as a hub for entrepreneurs on a national scale,” says Lincoln Smith, “To have direct input and conversations with our Government is a huge benefit to our region and the support we can provide to our community.”
Startup Canada Day on the Hill is the largest annual gathering of entrepreneurs, innovators, anchor companies, investors, industry leaders, media personalities and government decision makers to raise the bar in building Canada as an innovative, entrepreneurial nation.
Startup Kamloops launched in April with the help of Kamloops Innovation. Startup Canada provides help to entrepreneurs through online programs, national awards, and partnerships with private and government groups.
