A popular European music festival will be making a stop at Sun Peaks next year.
Snowbombing festival will make its debut at Sun Peaks Resort from April 6 to 10.
The festival is touted as Europe’s largest and most popular snow and music festival, drawing thousands of fans from across the world to Mayrhofen, Austria for over 17 years.
Organizers are now ready to bring the snow sport and music festival to North America at Sun Peaks Resort.
“20 years ago when we started Snowbombing it was a very distant dream to one day do it in North America. Now, with the help of an iconic brand like Coors Light, that dream is to become a reality and we are so proud and excited to be able to launch Coors Light Snowbombing Canada, in the superbly stunning Sun Peaks Resort,” says Gareth Cooper CEO of Broadwick Live.
Sun Peaks is a perfect location for the festival as it resembles Mayrhofen with the backdrop of mountains and forests, adds Cooper.
The 2017 lineup will be released in the fall and will include global headliners and world-class artists.
“Sun Peaks Resort is excited to partner with Coors Light Snowbombing Canada to host Canada’s greatest music festival on snow,” said Darcy Alexander, Vice President and General Manager of Sun Peaks Resort. “Sun Peaks is coming off a record winter season and this partnership will help us attract new snow sport and music enthusiasts from around the globe. As we continue to evolve as a leading destination resort, I can think of no better way to celebrate than by announcing Sun Peaks will be home to one of the world’s premiere music festivals.”
