Nomination period for Business Excellence Awards kicks off

One of the city’s most glam nights sees local businesses recognized for their success and it’s all several months in the making. Nominations opened today for the 2017 Kamloops Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. The nomination period will close on June 30th, finalists will be announced on September 7th and the awards gala is set for October 21st.

There are 17 categories and any for-profit, non-government owned business or individual can be nominated. Forms are online for anyone wishing to nominate their favourite Kamloops biz.

New categories are often introduced to keep up with the evolving business landscape in the city and, this year, the board has created the Inclusive Workplace Award. The winner will demonstrate inclusive hiring practices, a dedication to provide ongoing training opportunities that increase workplace skills and have a focus on an inclusive culture.
