Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the South Thompson and much of the southern Interior today as the region sees more snowfall.
Snow on Wednesday and into Thursday is expected to amount to between five and 15 centimetres before snow tapers into flurries Thursday night.
“An approaching Pacific front will track inland and across southern BC on Thursday. The Pacific moisture will combine with a modified Arctic air mass to giving snow to many Southwestern Interior and Kootenay regions and highway mountain passes,” Environment Canada said.
Heavier snowfall warnings could be issued for Interior regions later today.
The special weather statement is also in effect for the Coquihalla as weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Road conditions are available at Drive BC.
