A residence that was broken into overnight Monday is now the subject of investigation by police.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said RCMP are requesting a search warrant for a residence in Dallas, where police had been investigating a break and enter.
Police were called to a home on Badger Drive just after midnight after it was reported that a group of people were yelling and kicking in the door. RCMP responded and found two residents inside who had been the victims of a home invasion.
Patrols were made of the area, but the suspects were not found. While investigating the break and enter, Shelkie said RCMP found evidence of other criminal activity.
Shelkie said the house has been secured and Kamloops RCMP are now requesting a search warrant.
“At this time, the victims are uncooperative with police,” Shelkie said in a media release.
“It is unknown if the home invasion was targeted or if the victims of the home invasion were known to the suspects. The victims had minor injuries and refused ambulance attendance.”
