Police, along with the Scotch Creek Fire Department, were called to fire at a building in the 3900 block of Squilax-Anglemont Road on Valentine's Day. Two men passing by located the small fire on the side of a commercial building and were able to put it out by kicking snow onto the flames. Scotch Creek Fire made sure the blaze didn't enter the building that sustained minor damage. The fire was determined to be intentionally set.

Finally, on February 17th, police received a report of a Break, Enter, and Theft at the Eco-Depot on 1595 Martin Prairie Road in Pritchard. According to the release, overnight three suspects cut the fence to gain access to the property and proceeded to steal various items. Among the stolen items were bottles and a mattress.

All these investigations are still open and police are searching for anyone with information on these crimes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the detachment at (250)679-3221 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
