One of Kamloops’ biggest book and music sales is set to return to Kelson Hall this spring.
Barb’s Used Book & Music Sale will be happening from April 12-26.
The sale, which includes a huge variety of books, CDs, vinyl and more, is a vital fundraiser for the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra and KSO Music School.
Every purchase supports music education and live performances in the community.
Items start at just $1 and most items are priced $3 or more, making for a great deal and a way to stock up on books and music while supporting the local cause.
Below is the schedule for the sale:
Saturday, April 12: 10 am – 5 pm
Sunday, April 13: 12 pm – 4 pm
Monday–Friday, April 14-18: 12 pm – 5 pm
Saturday, April 19: 10 am – 5 pm
Sunday, April 20: Closed
Monday–Friday, April 21-25: 12 pm – 5 pm
Saturday, April 26: 10 am – 5 pm
Donations are being accepted at Kelson Hall on Mar. 29 and 30 from 10 am to 2 pm.
The items that are needed most include recently published fiction and non-fiction (within the last five years), Canadian and local authors, children’s books, Indigenous authors and vinyl records that are in good condition.
Donations were a major driver in the return of the event after the location was hit by a fire last spring and had to be hosted at St. Andrews on the Square in the fall.
