Some of the last evacuation alerts in Cache Creek have been removed, according to the latest update from officials.
Shortly before 11 am, the Village of Cache Creek said nearly 40 properties were removed from an evacuation alert.
Those properties include:
1432 Quartz Rd – All Units
811, 840, 842, 847, 888, 886, 896, 904 and 908 Collins Rd
1298 Coyote Valley Rd
944, 956, 1253, 1057, 1299, 1321, 1338, 1342, 1344, 1348 and 1420 Old Cariboo Rd
701 Trans Canada Hwy – All Units
1301, 1303, 1395, 1525, 1535, 1545 and 1621 Trans Canada Hwy
1222, 1228, 1234, 1246, 1258, 1260, 1272 and 1274 Nugget Rd.
An evacuation alert remains in place for all units at 1055 Old Cariboo Road.
The Village warns that an evacuation alert may need to be reissued should any other emergencies happens.
The Village is hosting a Cache Creek Flood Recovery and Resilience Open House on Wednesday, May 31 to help locals understand how to access agencies and organizations that can provide support for recovery efforts.
This includes disaster financial assistance, Interior Health, Services Canada and the South Cariboo Elizabeth Fry Society.
A high streamflow advisory remains in place for the Bonaparte River, however, Cache Creek is not under and sort of warning from the BC River Forecast Centre.
