The DTWN Night Market will be returning this weekend alongside a three-day Merchants market.
The Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association says the night market will be happening on Saturday, July 27 from 4-9 pm.
The market will take over the 300 and 400 blocks of Victoria Street, which will be closed to vehicles from 8am to 10 pm.
“We encourage people to utilize the city parkades on Seymour Street and Lansdowne Street for free weekend parking,” says the KCBIA in a release.
The Night Market is an all ages event that will feature local vendors, live entertainment and games. Access to local patios will also be available.
Some downtown businesses will also be open late for shopping until 9 pm.
“Kamloops summer nights have a special vibe we need to embrace more often,” says Downtown Kamloops Executive Director, Howie Reimer,
“You, your friends and family are invited to be a part of a fun community evening where you can eat, drink, enjoy live entertainment and of course, engage with local artisans and businesses.”
The annual Merchants Market will be happening from July 25-28 on the 200, 300 and 400 blocks of Victoria Street.
There will be in-store (and sidewalk) sales for businesses in those areas and live music.
Hours will be depending on the individual stores.
The KCBIA will also be offering free mural tours on select dates throughout our Merchants Market event.
