The Kamloops RCMP are gearing up for their annual Stuff the Cruise event this weekend.
The event supports the local Christmas Amalgameted and will be set up at the Toys R Us in Sahali from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, Nov. 30.
RCMP officers, Crime Prevention volunteers and Sgt. Safety Bear will be welcoming donations of toys, gift cards and cash.
All the donations will be sorted and delivered to families throughout the city.
“Coming out to drop off a gift, or even just to say hello, is a great way for the community to help spread holiday cheer,” said Cpl. Dana Napier.
“We’ve been holding this event for a number of years now and every year, we’re just so impressed by the generosity of those in the community.”
Last year, the event collected around $8,000 which were delivered to families through holiday hampers.
Anyone who would like to contribute, but is unable to attend the event, can drop unwrapped donations off at the North Shore Community Policing Office, 915 7th St., from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Note that the detachment is closed from noon to 1 pm.
