A third case involved a weapons report.
On Saturday evening, around 5 pm, RCMP officers were called to Mount Paul Way near where the Red Bridge is taped off for a report of a man yelling for someone to call 911.
In the news release, Cpl. Evelyn said responding officers were told the man was saying he was being chased by someone with a dog and a gun.
Officers located the man, who appeared to be intoxicated by drugs and continued changing his story.
The RCMP officers determined the allegation wasn’t true and arrested the man so he could sober up in the cells.
