UPDATE: Kamloops RCMP say 4 arrested after warrants executed on the North Shore

(UDPATE: Dec. 5 @ 3:57 pm) – The Kamloops RCMP say four people are in custody after warrants were executed at three North Shore properties.

Warrants in connection to a drug trafficking investigation were carried out in the 900-block of Tranquille Road, 2100-block of Edgemount Avenue, and the 2500-block of Glenview Avenue.

In addition to the four arrests, police seized a "significant" amount of drugs, firearms and cash.

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is thankful to the Southeast District Emergency Response Team and Tactical Unit, as well as the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit Uniform Gang Enforcement Team, for their assistance today and with our ongoing efforts to target those involved in drug trafficking in our community,” says Supt. Jeff Pelley.

(Original story: Dec. 5 @ 9:14 am) – The Kamloops RCMP are asking residents to avoid three properties the North Shore as officers carry out warrants as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

A news release said the Kamloops RCMP Detachment’s Targeted Enforcement Unit and frontline officers executed the warrants at addresses on the 900-block of Tranquille Road, 2100-block of Edgemount Avenue, and the 2500-block of Glenview Avenue.

“We appreciate the public’s patience during the warrant executions and request that residents please avoid the areas until the police presence is cleared,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP.

An update is expected in the near future.
