A man suspected of breaking into a Kamloops business earlier this month was arrested just hours after his initial release.
According to police, Kamloops Mounties responded to the break and enter at a business in the 1000 block of Victoria street around 4:15 am on Sept. 15.
Two people allegedly broke into the building, stole items and fled through the back door, an RCMP statement explained.
Officers were able to track down the suspects before the end of the day.
“While responding to another call for service, police recognized the male suspect and arrested him for that morning’s break and enter,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn. “Shortly after, a female suspect was also identified, located and arrested.”
After further investigation, the woman was released without process while the man was taken into custody and later released with conditions and a court date.
His freedom was short-lived, however, as he was arrested again in relation to another investigation the following morning.
This time he was charged in relation to the break and enter, then held in custody on charges related to the new offences.
