A local HVAC company is going above and beyond to support a local family and they’re hoping it becomes a yearly tradition.
Hadwin’s HVAC & Gas Inc. is preparing to donate and install a new $15,000 HVAC system to a “deserving family” as part of a new project called Feel The Love.
Angela Bigg and Rod Heibein were chosen as this year’s winners, which means they will be getting a new high-efficient Lennox furnace and air conditioner installed next month.
According to the Madison Fujita from Hadwin's, Bigg lost her son Casey to the opioid crisis just two years ago and has to face the hurdles of losing a child while staying strong for the rest of her family.
Through it all, she has taken it upon herself to give back to the community through volunteering and outreach programs.
“Rod also suffered a workplace injury many years ago resulting in the loss of his leg,” said Fujita. “Due to the circumstances it has been difficult for Angela and Rod to have sufficient work.”
With their new HVAC system set to be installed in October, there is one less pressure of keeping up their home that Bigg and Heibein have to deal with in the years to come.
Fujita said his company recognizes the many challenges that people face in life and hope to continue giving back in this form every year going forward.
