Kamloops man says $50K scratch and win prize is ‘freeing’

Taylor Starling was on a snowy winter walk with his girlfriend when he decided to try his luck with a scratcher.

They stopped at the Super Save Gas on Westsyde Road and he purchased a Continents Scratch & Win ticket.

Later, at home at his kitchen table, Starling scratched the ticket and discovered he had won $50,000.

“I was in disbelief,” he recalled. “It’s so exciting and freeing!”

The Kamloops man has no immediate plans for the windfall, but said that he looks forward to planning a trip in the near future.
