Kamloops woman arrested for impaired driving after driving into a tree, through 3 fences

A Kamloops woman has lost her licence after driving into a tree, through three fences and garden planters, say the Kamloops RCMP.

On Sunday, around 1:30 am, officers were called to Happyvale Avenue where the woman allegedly got into a truck and drove through a series of properties.

The responding officers demanded a roadside breath sample but the woman allegedly refused, which carries the same penalty as exceeding 0.8.

She was arrested for impaired driving and lodged at the detachment until she was sober.

A man at the scene was also arrested and lodged for obstruction, police say in a news release.

The woman was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and had her vehicle impounded for 30 days
