Everyone's favourite McGill Road bar just announced they were packing up shop and leaving Kamloops.
Lucky's Kamloops took to Facebook on Tuesday to let fans know their final day of operation in the River City would be on September 27th. The restaurant, which has been a staple for TRU students and adults alike for the past two years, specialized in burgers, fried chicken, take out, and pinball.
The reason for the sudden closure is that the owners are heading back to their hometown of Calgary.
"To all our friends and loyal fans, we will be ending our time here in Kamloops and closing our doors," wrote Lucky's. "We are needed back home in Calgary so it is time for us to go. Our last day will be on Sept 27th so we hope that all of you will come and visit us as many times as you can before then. Thank you so much for helping make Lucky's what it is and showing us so much love over the last 2 years."
