Residents of Kamloops could be aware of a couple road construction projects starting on Monday.
On Tuesday, March 21, crews will recommence repair work on the northside of St Paul Street at 1st Avenue.
This will include concrete work and asphalt restoration.
St Paul Street will be closed to westbound traffic between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue during the day and reopened at night.
The north sidewalk on St Paul Street will be closed to pedestrians. Bike traffic will be accommodated, however.
Work will take place Monday to Saturday from 7:30 am to 5 pm. The city expects the work to wrap up in April
On Monday, crews will begin utility and road upgrades on Moncton and Selkirk Avenues between Valhalla Drive and 13th Street.
This will include the installation of new water main, sanitary mains, drainage infrastructure and road structure and resurfacing.
The section of road will be closed during the project, with exception of local traffic.
Driveway access will be temporarily restructured during construction, which is scheduled to happen Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm.
The city says off-street parking may not be accessible and residents are asked to plan ahead by moving vehicles to adjacent streets.
This project is expected to be completed in August.
