Kamloops Mounties are renewing a plea for information about how a man came to be found severely injured near Paul Lake Road in late August.
Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP officers were called to an area near the Yellowhead Highway and Paul Lake Road where a man was discovered with life-threatening injuries around 7 am on Aug. 30.
He was taken to the hospital and, as of Sept. 25, remains in serious condition.
An investigation into how the man ended up on the roadside with such bad injuries is ongoing, say the Kamloops RCMP in a news release.
However, it is believed the man was a victim of an assault and was likely injured hours before he was injured.
“Maybe someone saw a suspicious vehicle driving or stopped in the area that day or the night before. Maybe someone remembers passing something on the side of the highway and now realize it could be related,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn in the news release.
“Or maybe someone has other information directly connected to how this man’s injuries occurred and is ready to talk. If you think you know something, please reach out as soon as possible.”
Police do not know how long the man has been in Kamloops but it is believed he is originally from the Terrace area.
The victim is described as a caucasian man in his 50s, standing at 5’6 with a medium build. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who has information or dash cam footage of the incident is urged to call the RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file 2024-28673.
