A bomb threat shut down the Kamloops Court House Thursday morning.

The court house was evacuated around 9am by the Kamloops RCMP and BC Sheriff Service, a news release says.

The Police Dog Service Unit utilized a bomb sniffing dog to search the area and determine if there was a real threat.

The news release says no explosives were found.

The court house was reopened to employees and the public by 2 pm.

However, police are still investigating who called in the threat.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Kamloops RCMP detachment by calling (250) 828-3000 and referring to file 2025-19249.

Alternatively, people can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
