RCMP search for suspect who robbed adult store

The Kamloops RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male who robbed the Whispers Adult Store.

Yesterday at around 4:20 p.m. a male entered the store with his face covered, brandishing a knife. He told the clerk to open the cash register and give him the money inside. The clerk was not injured.

Once he had the money, he left the store on foot and proceeded down Seymour Street towards 5th Avenue.

The male is described as:

  • Close to six feet tall
  • Medium build
  • Believed to be First Nations
  • Wearing a black hoodie that has light blue trim on the sleeves, inside the pockets and inside of the hood; a mask that was blue, navy and grey camouflage baggy jeans

“This is the third robbery in downtown Kamloops in 10 days,” stated Cpl. Jodi Shelkie.

“So far the RCMP have not linked these robberies to each other. We are very thankful that no one has been physically harmed. In each of the robberies, the employees’ actions have been exactly what police recommend. They have remained calm, cooperated with the robber and observed what the robber looked like which helps the police later with identifying a suspect.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact RCMP at (250)828-3000.
