(UPDATE: Oct. 10 @ 2:40 p.m.) - The search for Troy Gold has come to a sad end.
Kamloops RCMP's Serious Crimes Unit (SCU) is now investigating his disappearance and death as a homicide after investigation revealed that the 35-year-old had been murdered.
The SCU has investigated locations at both Lac du Bois and a residence on Woodstock Place.
While no arrests have been made, the RCMP does have suspects and the investigation continues to progress.
Future updates to the public will be available as soon as information is able to be released.
It's believed the homicide was targeted and there's no risk to the public.
Kamloops RCMP is asking anyone with information about the murder to contact them at 250-828-3000.

(UPDATE: Oct. 5 @ 12:10 p.m.) - The Kamloops RCMP are still searching for Troy Gold and they now suspect foul play in his disappearance.
This is based on the investigation and information received by the Serious Crimes Unit.
Gold was last seen around 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1.
"At this time, the RCMP are pursuing various investigative avenues in numerous locations around Kamloops," says the latest release from the RCMP. "Today, Kamloops RCMP and Kamloops Search and Rescue are searching various areas in hopes of finding Troy Gold."

If so, the Kamloops RCMP would like to hear from you.
The Kamloops resident hasn’t been seen since Monday at 3 p.m. and it’s believed he’s still in the area.
The 35-year-old is described as a 5’6” Caucasian man with short dirty-blonde hair and a goatee.
He also has tattoos of the words "love" and "hate" on his knuckles, as well as a "G" tattooed on each hand.
He was last seen wearing black sweatpants, a grey hoodie, blue Adidas shoes and a blue and white Blue Jays hat.
