Over this past weekend, the Kamloops RCMP responded to just over 300 calls for service between Friday and Monday.
Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, spokesperson for the detachment, highlighted a few of the cases, which included an impaired driver being arrested, a woman being arrested for mischief and an alcohol-induced collision.
The RCMP are asking any witnesses of these incidents to call the detachment at (250) 828-3000 and be sure to refer to the accompanying file number.
On Friday morning, the RCMP were called to the 2700-block of Tranquille Road where a white sedan had reportedly crashed into a concrete garden bed. When officers arrived, they spoke with the driver who was uninjured but a roadside breath test registered a final.
The driver received a 90-day driving prohibition, a 30-day vehicle impound and a violation ticket.
A woman was arrested, handed conditions and a court date for mischief. The Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP were called to an address on Kamloopa Road on Friday morning, around 11:10 am. Officers were told that a person known to the property owner allegedly damaged a vehicle and a window at the house.
Police say charge recommendations are anticipated.
A Kamloops man was handed a three-day driving prohibition and had his vehicle impounded after allegedly crashing his vehicle in rural Kamloops. Officers were called to an area on the Trans-Canada Highway at Big Sky Road for a report of the crash.
A roadside breath test was administered to the man. His vehicle was also impounded.
