UPDATE: Kamloops RCMP arrest suspect following search warrant

(UPDATE: Dec. 8, 2018 @ 12 p.m.) - The Kamloops RCMP says they have suspect Cameron Cole, of St. Albert, Alberta; formerly of Kamloops, in custody.

Cameron surrendered himself to the Kamloops RCMP on Friday evening. He remains in custody pending an appearance before the Courts.

(UPDATE: Dec. 6, 2018 @ 3:55 p.m.) - Kamloops RCMP has completed their search of the commercial unit in the 1400 block of Lorne Street East.

During the search, devices were found that were believed to be explosives and some neighbours were evacuated immediately. All neighbours were allowed to return to their residences and businesses.

Neither Cameron Cole or Charles Patrick have been arrested at this time. If you know of the location of either of these suspects, please contact Kamloops RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

(Original Story: Dec. 6, 2018 @ 11:51 a.m.)- As part of an ongoing investigation, the Kamloops RCMP issued a search warrant at Unit 1, 1485 Lorne Street East.

According to RCMP, this investigation began last January when units attended a residence on Badger Drive in Dallas for the report of a home invasion.

Once RCMP entered the residence, they found evidence of criminal activity and garnered a search warrant. The search revealed a number of firearms, bomb-making materials and an undisclosed amount of currency and narcotics.
