UPDATE: Police don't believe the two missing men from Surrey are in the Logan Lake area

(Update - 12:35 pm): RCMP announced today that they don't believe the two missing men from Surrey are in the Logan Lake area after finding their vehicle there on Sunday.

According to police, Ryan Provencher and Richard Scurr were initially travelling to Spences Bridge. Preliminary information indicated that they made it to their destination, though investigators are still following up to confirm it. The two have not been seen or heard from since leaving in Surrey in a white Jeep Cherokee.

On Sunday, their jeep was found parked in a wooded area near Logan Lake. No indication of foul play was discovered when the jeep was recovered, though it has been transported to Kamloops for further examination.

After recovering the jeep, a Search and Rescue team, the Integrated Police Dog Services, and the RCMP Air 4 helicopter were dispatched to conduct a search of the vast wooded area. Following the search, investigators don't believe the two men are missing in that area.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 1(604)-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

(Original - July 22nd): Surrey RCMP is looking to the public for help finding two men who have not been heard from since last week.

According to police, 37-year-old Richard Schurr and 38-year-old Ryan Provencher were last seen on July 17th at 12:30 p.m. in the 16400 block of 23 A Avenue in Surrey. The two were last seen getting into a 2019 white Jeep Cherokee <who> Photo Credit: Surrey RCMP

Schurr is described as a Caucasian with an athletic build who stands at 6'4" and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown brush cut hair with brown eyes. Provencher is described as a slim-built Caucasian man who stands at 5'10" and weighs 180 pounds. He has short brown hair with blue eyes.

Provencher's vehicle has since been located near Logan Lake without any occupants. This is out of character for the two and police are concerned for both their well-being.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these two is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 1(604)599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
