Residents asked to limit water use due to limited pumping capacity

The Regional District of Central Okanagan is set to fill the newly constructed reservoir cell beginning next week.

As a result, around 55 properties off of Highway 33 on the Falcon Ridge water system are being to limit their water use for three days next week.

Residents are asked to minimize their water usage and to shut off all outdoor irrigation from 8:00 am Tuesday, July 17th until 8:00 am Thursday, July 19th.

The voluntary water restriction is being requested by the Regional District of Central Okanagan as there will be limited pumping capacity to the existing reservoir, while crews fill the newly constructed reservoir cell which is part of the overall $900,000 system upgrading project.

Customers are reminded that a precautionary Water Quality Advisory remains in effect.
