A popular vegan market is coming back to Kelowna this weekend.
Demand for plant-based products in growing in the Okanagan, and in order to help the community get their fill, the Earth to Table Vegan Market is making their third appearance in Kelowna.
“We are so grateful for the continued support from our community” said Cassandra McFarland, co-founder of the market. “It was so amazing to watch our market grow from 800 attendees at our first event, to over 1400 attendees at our second event. It’s great to see so many people excited about embracing a more healthy, sustainable lifestyle”.
The market will continue to offer a wide selection of vegan-friendly products, including food, beverages, cosmetics, clothing, alcohol, and more.
“Each market welcomes new products and new vendors,” says McFarland. “We’ve had so many local, plant-based vendors reach out to us that we’ve actually opened up additional vendor space in the Laurel’s Orchard Museum.”
The second Earth to Table Vegan Market resulted in a $500 donation to the Twin Heart Animal Sanctuary, and for their third event, a portion of the market’s proceeds will go to Hoof Prints Barnyard, a local animal rescue.
Earth to Table Vegan Market will be held at The Laurel Packinghouse (1304 Ellis Street) from 11-4 p.m. this Sunday. Admission is $3 for Adults (19+) and $5 for families (two adults plus youth) and free for children under 12. Attendees will also be entered to win a door prize filled with amazing vegan foods and products.
