UPDATE: RCMP investigating 'plandemic' graffiti on Kelowna City Hall

(UPDATE: Oct. 27 @ 12:35) - The Kelowna RCMP says it's investigating the anti-COVID graffiti that was spray painted on City Hall overnight.

“This investigation is in it’s infancy,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy. “This behaviour is criminal and we will be following all leads to determine who did this graffiti.”

It was discovered on the north and west walls of City Hall this morning, as well as on the front steps of the building.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.

You can also report tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477.

(Original story: Oct. 27 @ 10:45 am) - Recently, the Kelowna RCMP made a public appeal to identify three people responsible for hundreds of graffiti tags around the city.

What happened at Kelowna City Hall last night wasn’t your typical tagging, however, as the government building was hit with large messaging that claims COVID-19 is a ‘plandemic’.

“No new normal COVID is a plandemic,” said one line of text over the first floor windows.

Under those same windows, it read: “I want breath(e) fresh air and live fre(e) COVID has a 99.9% survival rate economic collapse does not.”

‘Breathe’, ‘free’ and ‘survival’ were all spelled wrong.

“No new normal” was written again on the front steps of the building.

NowMedia has confirmed that the City of Kelowna has contacted a company to come and remove the graffiti.
