Luchies, a Victoria product, made 11 appearances in 2022 for the ‘Cats, earning a 2-2 record with 25 strikeouts in 36.1 innings pitched (IP). He is set to play his freshman season at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA this spring.

The team also welcomes back Port Moody, BC native Jack Seward, who amassed a 1.15 earned run average (ERA) and 23 strikeouts in 23.1 IP for Victoria last summer. Seward will spend the 2023 spring season at Central Arizona College, where he is entering his second year.

Victoria Golden Tide standout Brady Wilson will join the ‘Cats for the first time next summer. The Calgary, AB native pitched 40 innings for the Tide last season, earning a 3-4 record and a 3.49 ERA. He also spent last summer as a member of the Fort McMurray Giants of the Western Canada Baseball League (WCBL), where he posted a 4.34 ERA over 58 IP.

Finally, the ‘Cats add utility-man Nick Dumesnil, a native of Huntington Beach, CA who can play a number of infield and outfield positions and provide a strong presence at the plate.

The next HarbourCats season is set to get underway in June 2023.
