The Victoria HarbourCats will begin their quest towards capturing a West Coast League championship as they host the Bellingham Bells in game one of a best-of-three series at home on Tuesday.
The ‘Cats earned a postseason berth with a dramatic 3-1 win over the Edmonton Riverhawks on the final day of the regular season on Sunday.
They will enter the first round as the number four seed in the North Division after finishing with a record of 26-28, facing off against the Bells who finished in first place with a record of 33-20.
The first game of the series will be hosted by Victoria at Royal Athletic Park, with games two and three being held at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham on Wednesday and Thursday night.
Should the ‘Cats defeat the Bells in the best-of-three series, they would move on to play the winner of the other divisional series between the Wenatchee AppleSox and Kamloops NorthPaws in the Division Championships.
First pitch for game one in Victoria is set for 6:35 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
