Gear up, car lovers, because the Boyd’s Father’s Day Charity Car Show is today!
The 20th edition of the event will once again conquer City Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., bringing with it thousands of attendees and hundreds of beautiful automobiles to drool over.
In 2018, the park saw nearly 30,000 attendees throughout the day, browsing rows of everything from vintage beauties and refurbished rat rods to the latest and greatest in modern vehicles, boats and motorbikes.
Cars aren’t really your thing? No problem! The event will be bursting with live entertainment from local bands such as ¾ Crush, Rumble 100 and The Silverbacks, in addition to an activity centre hosted by the Kelowna Rockets, a Kids Zone put on by Par-T-Perfect, food trucks, vendors and more!
Amidst all the fun, Boyd’s will also be raising funds for Kelowna’s Child Advocacy Centre — a new organization in the Okanagan that will aim to create a safe environment to support children and youth in need that is slated to open later this year.
To help bolster their fundraising, Boyd’s is raffling off a 2005 Ford Mustang to one lucky donator. Tickets will be available at City Park for just $25 each or five for $100.
Grab your dad, your mom or your friends and get ready to spend an afternoon by the lakeside filled with Okanagan sunshine, stunning vehicles, philanthropy and most importantly — fun!
