The annual Kelowna Santas Wrap Party took over Orchard Ford on Sunday afternoon, welcoming nearly 100 volunteers.
Kelowna Santas is a grassroots initiative that specializes in putting gifts under the tree for families in need with the help of the community.
To date, Kelowna Santas has helped thousands of Okanagan families, with 2018 adding another 700 to their ongoing tally.
Since November, the organization has been collecting gifts for children aged 0 to 17 thanks to the help of over 80 local drop locations and generous community members.
Volunteers and representatives from Kelowna Santas' supporting organizations put on their festive best and stepped up to wrap over 1,000 gifts.
Though the need may be great, the community spirit and willingness to give back was greater, as all the gifts were wrapped in just over two hours.
With holiday tunes blasting through the speakers, Santa hats in sight, and Christmas cheer in abundance, the smiles could be seen all the way from the North Pole.
If you were unable to lend a hand this afternoon, but are still hoping to get involved, Kelowna Santas is looking for reindeer to help deliver the gifts on Dec. 22 and 23.
