Jan. 17, 2025, marked the two-year anniversary of the deaths of Camilo Alonso and Jacob Rommann.
Their deaths have since been classified as homicides and the Southeast District Major Crime Unit (MCU) continues to investigate the matter as a priority case.
“There are people out there with knowledge of the deaths of Camilo Alonso and Jacob Rommann and we are asking those individuals to come forward and contact the police,” says S/Sgt. Jason Smart.
“This investigation remains a priority for the MCU and It is important to police that the person(s) responsible be held accountable.”
MCU investigators are putting the case back in the public eye today with the release of surveillance images of two persons of interest.
Neither man has been identified or come forward to speak with investigators and the MCU is hoping the public can help facilitate that.
Alonso and Rommann’s bodies were found around 5:30 am on Jan. 17, 2023, by North Okanagan Mounties who were responding to an assault with a weapon report at a residence in the 8500 block of Clerke Road in Coldstream.
A third person was found suffering from potentially life-threatening injuries at the scene as well.
Their deaths were deemed suspicious at the time and later upgraded to homicides after the MCU took over the investigation.
Anyone with information about the murders of Alonso or Rommann is urged to contact the MCU tip line at 1-877-987-8477.
Investigators are not releasing any further information at this time.
