RCMP investigating spree of vehicle vandalism in Summerland

Police are searching for answers after three vehicles were vandalised over two days in Summerland.

According to the RCMP, there were three separate incidents of vandalism damaging multiple vehicles on the weekend of Jan. 28-29.

“The incidents occurred on Brown Street, Kelly Avenue and Prairie Valley Road,” said Cst. Dayne Lyons. “While the exact time the events took place is not known, we encourage residents with cameras in these areas to review their footage for anything that may stand out.”

Lyons added that the investigation so far has led police to believe the vehicles were not specifically targeted, nor were they connected.

“If this was meant to be a joke, it certainly wasn’t received that way,” he noted.

The RCMP says property damage is a serious offence that can come with serious consequences.

Anyone with information about this spree of vehicle vandalism is urged to contact the Summerland RCMP at 250-494-7416.
