The ski season remains just over a month away, but skiers and boarders woke up to a fresh blanket of snow on Monday morning.
Nearly 25 centimetres of the fluffy white stuff fell at SilverStar Mountain Resort overnight and the snow has continued to fall throughout the day.
"It feels like you are inside of a snow global up here on the mountain," said Chantelle Deacon, media relations with SilverStar.
"It looks like a winter wonderland up here, it's getting us very excited for the ski season!"
The forecast is calling for even more snowfall during the week, with SilverStar expecting to have an accumulated snowbase of over 50 cms by the weekend’s end.
SilverStar wasn't the only mountain in the region to receive an exciting snowfall, Big White in Kelowna enjoyed nearly 20 cms worth of snow on Sunday night while Sun Peaks in Kamloops report 4 fresh cms.
