An Okanagan athlete will be gunning for the podium today.
Kelowna’s Tess Critchlow will be competing in the women’s snowboard cross at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.
Today is Critchlow’s only day of competition, but there’s a chance for her to race four times if all goes to plan.
Seeding starts at 5 p.m. PST, where Critchlow will be joined by fellow Canadians Zoe Bergermann, Meryeta Odine and Carle Brenneman.
If any of the four advance through qualification, they’ll compete in the quarterfinals at 7:15 p.m.
Only 20 minutes later, at 7:36 p.m., the semifinals will decide who makes it to the women’s snowboard cross final, which is at 7:56 p.m.
Good luck today Tess, you’ve got Kelowna and the entire country of Canada behind you!
