Watching a loved one perform on any stage can be stressful.
However, watching your wife compete on the Olympic stage is admittedly a bit more stressful than usual.
Shawn Germain, husband of Canadian curler Rachel Homan, was watching his wife’s team play Japan on Monday and he seemed to be dealing with the pressure in a uniquely Canadian way.
Favourite Olympic moment so far: Canadian curler Rachel Homan's husband double-fisting his third and fourth beers while watching his wife compete against Japan. It's 9am in Korea. Not all heroes wear capes. #PyeongChang2018 pic.twitter.com/jzrVsu06Vi

In all fairness, grabbing a couple cold ones before watching some curling is nothing new to Canadians.
It also happened to be just past 9 a.m. in South Korea, but it was a must win game for Team Canada so Germain had his reasons.
We couldn’t keep up with you back home... and it’s a long weekend here. #WeBelieve #onemore 🙌🏻 🇨🇦🍻 #olympics pic.twitter.com/TWZfg1xgBT

Unsurprisingly, the husband of Canada's skip has quickly become a legend among curling, beer and Team Canada fans across the country.
Love the fact that Shawn Germain is enjoying a cold one while cheering on wife Rachel and @TeamHoman in a must win game against Japan. #PyeongChang2018

Never one to steal the spotlight, the ex-pro hockey player wants all eyes on Team Canada's women's curling team quest for the medal round.
Alright, alright, alright that was fun and I appreciate all of you but let’s get back to business here and cheer on my amazing wife and her phenomenal teammates! #letsgocanada #WeBelieve
