Prince George pride continues at Olympic Games

Prince George native Sarah Beaudry has finished 29th in the Women’s 15 km biathlon with a time of 45:05.6.

Beaudry filled in for Megan Tandy while she is taking sick leave.

Hanna Oeberg from Sweden took first place, while Anastasiya Kuzimina from Slovakia and Laura Dahlmeier from Germany took second and third place respectively.

Three other Canadians competed in this biathlon event including Rosanna Crawford, Emma Lunder and Julia Ransom.

The Women’s 12.5 km Mass Start will be the next biathlon event and is set to take place on Feb. 17.

Both Beaudry and Tandy are expected to compete in this event.
